INTRODUCTION

Hello and welcome! We are Nicole and Blake from North Dakota.

We are so grateful that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your precious baby.

The struggles of infertility can be very trying. We have celebrated with friends and family as their families grew, but something was missing in our own lives. Beginning the adoption process has reawakened in us a hope for the future and gives an incredible sense of purpose that we have been missing.

We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and hope this will give you an inside look into our lives and the love we have for each other and our family.

about us

We met in our first year of college, however our love story did not begin until many years later.

We always stayed in touch and remained there for each other through life’s many challenges. Through that our friendship grew to love and 7 years later we said “I do” on a beach in Mexico surrounded by family. Since then, we have added two Shiba Inu fur babies to our family, have made several moves (we recently moved back to North Dakota from our 3 year stint in California), and have traveled the world.  Throughout this we have found contentment and are so grateful for the life that we are living. Last year we built and moved into our first home.

Nicole is so full of kindness, patience and love. She is extremely intelligent and a tenacious learner. She is always beside me celebrating my successes and mourning my losses as though they are her own. She is undoubtably my greatest supporter and I cannot imagine a life without her. Through our struggles with infertility, she has remained positive and never lost hope for growing our family. I’ll never forget her sharing the story of how when she was little, she told everyone that she was going to be a mom when she grew up. While she has found success far beyond that it always showed me her deep love for children. She is going to be the best mother and co-parent I could possibly ask for.

About Blake

Blake is the kindest, most generous and caring person I have ever met. He would do anything to take care of his family. I can already tell the type of father he will be when I see him light up seeing our niece Brinley.

What I love most about Blake is how selfless he is. His dad has recently had a few surgeries, so he is unable to care for their house and yard as he once did. Blake goes out of his way to help his mom with the yard every time he visits. My dad and brother spend a lot of time in the field during the spring, fall and summer as they are farmers. Blake is always willing to step up and help my mom out during that time. He will carry things up and down the stairs for her and most recently helped make her a flower garden for Mother’s Day. Blake will be the most amazing father and I can’t wait to raise our child with him.

our home

We live in North Dakota where we enjoy all 4 seasons with lots of access to parks and outdoor activities. 

One of our favorite things about coming back to North Dakota is having lots of space to walk our dogs, get to the golf course, or spending time out in the yard. Last year we were fortunate enough to be able to move into our first home which we were able to completely design. We have lots of space inside and out for toys, swings, and room to run within our fenced yard. We love our open living room with lots of light which opens to our backyard and a big deck.

Our Fur Babies - Bella and Chloe:

Bella just turned 12. She loves to cuddle and spend her day napping. We call her Benjamin Button because she gets more puppy like as she ages. Chloe is 11 and loves to be outside in the yard and going on walks. She is so loving and incredibly dramatic in the best possible ways.

It is important to us that you know that whatever decisions you make we will always honor and speak highly of you. We will make sure that they stay connected to their background, their culture and they will always be encouraged to have their own identity. Our child will receive unconditional love and we will make sure they receive the best opportunities that we can offer. We pray that you find grace and contentment through all the decisions you are facing. We firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and that our calling is to provide a loving home for a very special child, and we feel both extremely excited and blessed to be walking this path.
