Mindy and Jonathan Adopt
INTRODUCTION
Hi! We’re Mindy and Jonathan along with Etta and Lincoln!
We are very excited about growing our little family and having a new child to make memories with every single day.
It’s love that makes a family and we have so much love to give! We have always considered adoption as a beautiful way to grow our family. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope this provides a glimpse of what your child’s life will be like in our fun family.
We are amazed at your strength, courage, and love for choosing adoption. We will always make sure your child knows your decision was made out of love for him or her. We look forward to the opportunity to share this experience with you and hope to meet you soon.
our life together
We lived near Memphis, Tennessee most of our lives before moving to Utah a few years ago.
We met in 2002 at a Starbucks Coffee. Mindy worked there and Jonathan was a regular customer. It was love at first sight and it wasn’t long before we started dating. Jonathan eventually proposed (8 years later!).
Although we loved our childhood in the South, we knew we wanted to raise our family somewhere else. We love everything about Utah from the family-friendly activities happening every weekend, to the beautiful scenery, and outdoor opportunities, like snowboarding and hiking. After seeing how much we loved Utah, some of our family moved here too!

Mindy
Mindy is a creative, left-handed, stay-at-home mom.
Mindy is patient, laid-back, and level-headed. She loves a good, strong cup of black coffee; it’s probably best you let her finish it before talking to her. But luckily, that won’t be a problem, because she wakes up at 5:00am every morning to work her part-time side business. Mindy prints designs on t-shirts and mugs and loves every minute of it. She enjoys making matching family shirts for birthdays, holidays, adoption profile books (haha) and more. She loves all animals…dogs, cats, turkeys, peacocks, snails…everything! And fun fact about Mindy, although she prefers to rock a shaved head, she actually has curly hair!

Jonathan
Jonathan is such a great husband and dad.
Jonathan works as a computer nerd (okay, maybe that’s not his official job title.) He has a fun, happy personality and always puts people at ease. He loves indoor rock climbing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. Jonathan is passionate about photography and will even develop his own film/photos in our home dark room. When he isn’t behind a computer or camera, you will find him interacting with Etta and Lincoln. Whether it’s baking his special apple pie with them, playing Chess with Etta, or building an elaborate Lego structure with Lincoln, it is clear he loves his kids. He is the Dad every dad desires to be….complete with the bad dad jokes, the dad bod, and all. And fun fact, he’s a twin!

Our Children
We have two biological children, Etta and Lincoln.
Etta is 7 years old and is so excited about being a big sister again. She has spent many hours online shopping, looking at all the baby clothes and toys she wants us to buy. When she isn’t shopping, we are either doing arts and crafts together or snuggling with one of her guinea pigs. Etta loves participating in sports, especially karate.
Lincoln is 5 years old and with his silly personality, he is sure to make the new baby laugh. He is thrilled about becoming a big brother. On his birthday, he said he wanted to save one of his birthday presents for the new baby to open. When Lincoln isn’t climbing a tree or playing in slime, you will find him building legos and playing with hot wheels. Lincoln loves taking swimming lessons and time in the hot tub.
our loved ones
We have a big extended family we love spending time with.
We are thankful to have family nearby. In Salt Lake, we have Mindy’s parents, and two sisters. Her brother’s family is close by, in Arizona. Jonathan’s and the rest of Mindy’s big Italian family are all back in Tennessee and Mississippi. We see each other once or twice a year, whether it’s us traveling back to Memphis for some family time, or them coming to stay in our guest room. One of Etta and Lincoln’s favorite things about having grandparents in Mississippi is that they send “GeeGee and PaPaw boxes” which come often and contain a fun surprise of little crafts, toys, candy, and clothes.

thank you
We hope this profile gave you a good idea of who we are.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
We promise our child will have a fun, wonderful childhood and be showered with love and support, always. If this will be a transracial adoption, we promise to learn and respect our child’s culture, and always find ways to maintain their connections to it. We will find opportunities to bring up topics of race and culture in everyday life and we will celebrate traditions of their heritage.
We look forward to sharing this life-long connection with you and hope to meet you soon.
