Hi! We’re Kasia and Ron!

We’re a fun-loving Texas couple that tries to live life to the fullest. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us.  

Thank you for being courageous in considering an adoption plan. We are true believers that things happen for a reason. If you feel we are the perfect fit... we can’t wait to meet you and hope it’s the start of a lifelong relationship. 

From a young age Kasia admired women that had adopted and knew adoption was the path she was meant to take when starting a family. Throughout our relationship we’ve discussed how we would one day start a family, and the conversations always included the subject of adoption. We have worked hard to build a stable and loving environment that will provide a strong foundation for a child. 

Our goal is to raise a child to be a thoughtful and caring person who will be accepting of everyone no matter how different they are. We are looking forward to sharing our love of animals, nature, and travel with our future child, and can’t wait to see the joy on his or her face when they experience the beauty of this amazing world.

We met through a mutual friend at Christmas time in our hometown of Buffalo during Kasia’s last year of high school.

It was love at first sight, however, since we were still fairly young and discovering who we were, we decided to be friends for a few years before pursuing a relationship. A friendship helped us bond and create a strong foundation for our relationship and eventually our marriage. The key to our long-lasting relationship is trust, communication, and lots of laughter! 

We came from humble beginnings and knew we wanted more for our lives which led us to work tirelessly to put ourselves through school and pursue our dreams. We have a strong belief in work/life balance and enjoy taking trips around the world to experience new cultures. We’ve visited over 20 countries together throughout Europe, Asia, and Central America. When we’re not traveling, we enjoy our free time hiking, kayaking, watching our Buffalo Bills play their hearts out, attend local music festivals, and spending time with our family and friends.

Kasia by Ron

Kasia has opened my eyes to the world by encouraging me to travel. I took my first plane ride with her (a quick trip to NYC) and one time she asked me where in the world I dream of visiting. I half-jokingly told her Tokyo and a few months later we were off to see Japan on a life-changing trip.

I love how nurturing and caring Kasia is. Last year on her birthday she found an abandoned baby squirrel during our morning walk and canceled all plans until she was able to find a safe place for the little guy at the local wildlife rescue. I know for a fact that Kasia will be an incredible mother because she is the only person, I’ve ever met that has consistently brushed our dog’s teeth since they were puppies. She is a successful business woman but you’d never know it if you met her at the supermarket because she’s so down to earth. Some of the best times we have together is when we’re cooking breakfast or dinner for our family, and joking about what Daisy and Bo would say if they could talk…probably about dropping a piece of bacon on the floor for them! I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have her in my life and can’t wait for the day she is a mom.

Ron by Kasia

I don’t want to bore you with talk about how Ron is an amazing and loving human being as I’m sure most couples say that about each other. What I want to tell you about is how much joy I see on Ron’s face when we talk about the potential of him becoming a dad someday. It brings a smile to my face each time I think about the way he interacts with kids…building Lego spaceships with my cousin’s child, putting a Hot Wheels race track together and racing cars with our best friend’s toddler, spending hours at the hospital with me as we wait for our best friend’s baby to be born so we could hold him. 

To be honest I don’t know too many men like him. Ron is truly one of a kind and people love being around him because he has the type of personality that makes you feel comfortable. He’s there for people when they need him and I admire him so much for that.  I didn’t marry Ron because we agree on everything, I married him because he’s the yin-to-my-yang. He inspires me to be a better version of myself and one day he is going to encourage his child to follow their dreams no matter how far-fetched or strange their dreams may seem to everyone else.

We live in a suburb outside of Austin, Texas.

We are surrounded by friendly neighbors. On our street, the kids are able to play outside safely because we’re tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. In an age of phone, screens and video games, being in a neighborhood where our future child could play in the street and use their imagination was important to us and one of the many reasons we fell in love with our home. 

Being that we are in Texas, the weather is beautiful (almost) the entire year. We enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors. The pond and trails down the street were what initially drew us here. Our home is within walking distance of the elementary school and a local coffee shop and we often take walks to the pond to feed the ducks and watch turtles' swim. We’re also just a short Jeep drive away to the aquarium, an arcade, movie theaters, and museums.

We both have supportive families.

Kasia grew up surrounded by a fairly large family. Her dad’s side is FULL of aunts, uncles and cousins so the holidays are filled with laughter and lot of hugs! Ron has a smaller but very tight-knit family. We chat with his mother (who we all call “Glo”) and father regularly and we have a very strong bond with his sisters. Some of the best memories we have as children came from our annual family trips and we want to continue that tradition with our child. To this day Kasia talks about the joy she felt during her family trip to Disney World, and the crab-fishing she did on a trip to Ocean City. 

Luckily for us, a majority of both sides of our families still reside in our hometown so we travel there every year to be close to them for the holidays. Cooking family recipes is a tradition for us. Ron has a bit of a sweet tooth so he usually gets the honor of baking the cookies while Kasia helps her aunts make Polish pierogis (dumplings filled with potatoes and cheese that are absolutely delicious!). When we’re not busy cooking up a storm, we enjoy decorating our home for the holidays while listening to our favorite Christmas tunes. We are obsessed with Christmas movies! They bring back a lot of wonderful Christmas memories from our childhoods so they are an important part of our annual holiday tradition. Kasia even has a list of favorite Christmas movies that we watch every year...Home Alone 1 and 2, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and of course, A Christmas Story!
