Jennifer Adopts

INTRODUCTION

Hi! I’m Jennifer.

Before I tell you all about me, I wanted to let you know how much I admire your bravery and compassion, and most of all your courage to consider placing your child for adoption. My hope for you is that you have all the support you need as you navigate a plan for you and your child’s future.

I have always dreamed of being a mother. Life has taken some twists and turns, but my desire to be a mother has remained strong. When I started to consider my options for pursuing motherhood on my own, adoption stood out to me in so many ways. I feel it in my heart that this is what I am meant to do. Following the adoption process, if Mr. Right comes along, I look forward to being a package deal!

I can’t wait to provide a home that’s filled with love, and plenty of doggie kisses! My promise to you is that your child will be adored beyond measure, always encouraged to follow their dreams, and the amount of love and support they receive as they grow up will be endless.

I am so thankful you are taking the time to get to know me more, and I am so excited to become a mom!

about me

I believe in living each day to the fullest.

One of the most important things to me is to always appreciate the moments in life. In my opinion, experiences are far more valuable than material things, especially when you are creating memories and spending time with the people you love. I am grateful to always be surrounded by amazing family and friends, and each day brings positivity, fun, and so much laughter.

I aim to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prioritize my physical and mental health. By doing so, it’s important to me to incorporate things that bring peace into my active daily routine. Doing yoga, listening to music, going for a walk, or reading, are some of the things I try and take a few minutes to do each day.

More ABOUT ME-living the dream

Jennifer, a loving woman from Chicago, is hoping to adopt a child.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I turned my love for sports, particularly baseball, into a career.

Working in Major League Baseball for a professional baseball team is a dream come true. I look forward to sharing my love for the game with my child and knowing that he/she will get to go to as many baseball games as they want! The best part of it all is being able to do something that I love each day, and that I now have a World Series ring that can be passed down as a treasured keepsake in our family.

my home

Sweet Home Chicago

I live in a beautiful neighborhood on the north side of the city. Often you will see families strolling along the quiet tree lined streets, walking their dogs, or headed to one of the many nearby parks. My two-family house is perfectly situated within walking distance to Lake Michigan. The expansive lake front bike path and sandy shores are among my favorite parts about the city. There is a real sense of community in the area and it has so much to offer. Movie nights in the park, homemade ice cream shops, farmer’s markets, and family friendly events such as Wiggle Worms, a weekly children’s event featuring a live band, make this neighborhood a great place to live and raise a family. Although we experience some tough Winters, the Summer and Fall seasons sure make up for it! However, even during Winter, Chicagoans know how to enjoy the season with the many ice-skating rinks, sledding at Soldier Field, Christmas pop-ups, and an abundance of holiday cheer.

My home has two bedrooms, plus a loft, and multiple outdoor spaces. The backyard features a large projector screen and a fire pit, which makes roasting marshmallows and watching sports or movies outdoors a regular occurrence.

My Family

Love makes a family

I have one older sister and she is my absolute best friend. She is married to my brother-in-law, who served 20 years in the United States Navy, and is the brother I always wanted.

My mom and dad were divorced when I was 5 years old. My mom remarried, and her wife has been in my life since I was in middle school. They will soon be retired and live on Cape Cod. It is a beautiful place to visit! Being raised by two amazing moms has really helped shape who I am today and has taught me to see that love is love, regardless of what it looks like. I have always said that “two moms are better than one” and now, as a hopeful adoptive parent, I see that statement to be truer than ever as my child will have a mother, as well as a birth mother.

I have a great relationship with my dad as well. He and his wife live in Florida, just south of Tampa. My dad introduced me to baseball when I was young, and it is something that truly bonded us over the years. Sadly, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury from a car accident and now has limited cognitive abilities. He still wears a big smile, has a warm heart, and hasn’t forgotten his love for baseball!

in closing

One last thank you.

I hope that by reading my profile book it gave you a good glimpse into my life, my family, and who I am as a person. You may have concerns about possibly choosing a single parent, but I assure you that I am fully prepared to fulfill this role and provide an amazing life for your child. I hope that you share some of the same passions I do and that these are things you hope to be part of your child’s future.

You will always have a place in your child’s life should you choose to, and I promise to honor and respect your wishes. I would love to learn more about you and potentially build a meaningful relationship throughout this process. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering me.
