INTRODUCTION

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look over our profile

Our hope is that you will get a chance to know us through our words and pictures. 

We live in Michigan and are lucky enough to have all of our extended family within 1.5 hours of our home. We are blessed with having very close relationships with both sides of our family, and get to visit with them often. We both were raised by very loving and caring parents and were thrilled beyond words when we became parents. After we had our daughter we desired to expand our family, but sometimes plans don't always go as you dream or imagine. Our dream of growing our family is still there and now includes adopting!

We met in college and have been together ever since!

We have been together for many years and married for twelve. We met in college while living in the dorm. Brook was in charge of one of the floors in the dorm, his job was to make sure everyone was following the rules. One evening I came back from seeing friends from high school and was talking too loud in the hall during quiet hours. Brook came out to regulate the situation, and we instantly hit it off and ended up going to a movie together a few days later.  We have been together ever since!

I often say it was love at first sight for both of us. The truth is neither of us can imagine life without the other, we truly are best friends.

Meet Elizabeth

Our daughter, Elizabeth, is eight years old and in third grade. She is a very kind and compassionate little girl. She is beyond thrilled at the opportunity of having a sibling. Elizabeth has three cousins that are younger than her. She loves playing and interacting with them. We are confident that she has all the qualities to be a big sister. 

Elizabeth is very involved in a number of activities, such as dance, piano, basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and golf. She loves to keep active. 

She also goes to a wonderful school filled with loving teachers and wonderful families. We love being involved in all her activities and celebrating her and her accomplishments.

We are blessed with a wonderful extended family. Both of our parents have been married forty-plus years and have truly shown us what it means to build a strong, loving family.

Elizabeth calls her maternal grandparents grandma and grandpa. She calls her paternal grandparents nana and papa. Brook has one sister who has been married for fifteen years and they have two daughters that are twelve and fourteen. Elizabeth loves playing with her older cousins and they watch out for her closely. Clare has one brother and he has been married for nine years. They have a son the same age as Elizabeth and three daughters that are five, three, and just welcomed their third daughter this year.

We try to spend as much time with family as possible. We often enjoy vacations with our extended families and spending time at our family lake house. We still have all our parents and they are happy and healthy. We truly are blessed and can say with complete confidence that all our family would welcome a child with open arms and open hearts.

WHERE WE CALL HOME We live in a suburb of Southwest Michigan, in a very family-oriented community. There are lots of children in the area and lots of family activities offered throughout the year. In our part of the country we enjoy all four seasons and with each season comes new activities. We are very fortunate to live in such a growing and vibrant community with many opportunities to learn new things and go on great adventures.

We built our “forever home” a few years ago, with our family in mind. We have four acres of land for our children to play on. We designed a home with plenty of room in the hopes that our family would expand at some point. Our home is a happy place designed with family as our number one priority.
