I will work closely with you to create a profile that really represents you and your family. I will assist you in creating your text by using my proprietary questionnaire, and then using your answers to create text. In essence, your text will be your words, your thoughts, and your style, but instead of sitting down and facing that dreaded blank page you will simply answer the questions I ask, and from your words I will create your text. I will work with your photos to make sure they work together with your text to showcase your lives in a meaningful way. I will coach you on what photos to use, which ones not to use, and will correct photos you have that may need a little work. I will erase all identifying information from your photos such as your house number, Alma Matter on your sweatshirts etc, and I will digitally correct or enhance them as needed. The final component of your profile is the design and layout. Before a birthparent reads a single word she/he should have a sense of your personalities by just glancing at your profile. Color creates mood, and style speaks volumes about your personality. Design for me is an intuitive process; by studying your photos, reading your text and chatting with you on the phone I am able to create something that accurately represents you to birthparents.Most clients choose to have me work with them on their profiles from beginning to end in the manner above. Some clients, however, have already written their text, or have unique requirements from their agency. While I don’t provide printed copies of your profile, I am happy to facilitate printing for you with one of several commercial presses I work with. I have developed relationships with several great presses, and depending on your specific needs I can usually save you significantly over the cost of using a retail printer.
